At the Techday 2023 technology event on the morning of October 24 in Hanoi, FPT announced cooperation with Landing AI to develop computer vision technology, in parallel with cooperation in education.
Landing AI is an artificial intelligence project specializing in computer vision products. The company’s founder is Andrew Ng , one of the most influential people in the world in the field of AI.
“Andrew Ng has agreed to build an educational program for students from grades 1 to 12 for us and hundreds of thousands of students will learn AI,” Mr. Binh said.

According to him, Andrew Ng is also instrumental in changing the global education system when participating in building the Massive Online Course (MOOC) system Coursera.
“In the future, Vietnamese students will learn from the world’s leading professors, including Andrew’s AI lessons. Vietnamese students have the opportunity to become Andrew’s students,” Mr. Binh said.
Mr. Andrew Ng commented that recently, AI has attracted attention worldwide. During the development process, technology is increasingly useful in many fields and will bring many opportunities to Vietnam. The founder of Landing AI also appreciated the Vietnamese technology corporation for bringing AI into education since 2017 and achieving some results.
“Vietnam has enough factors to grow rapidly in AI,” said Professor Andrew Ng. In addition, he believes that the presence of Vietnamese AI engineers in Silicon Valley, Stanford University or large businesses like Google is the result of good training from within the country. Many Vietnamese students are studying AI courses on Coursera, the online education platform he founded. It is expected that after the cooperation signing ceremony between Landing AI and FPT, all students of FPT University will have access to textbooks from AI professors.

At the event, experts assessed that building an AI curriculum for students is one of the best ways to improve the quantity and quality of AI for Vietnam, preparing for the future of AI. applied in every corner of life.
Mr. Christopher Cuong T Nguyen, President of Aitomatic, highly appreciated the quality of AI personnel in Vietnam. He said his old company in Silicon Valley had many Vietnamese co-founders, trained, developed and inspired by educational funds in his home country.
According to him, Vietnam has very young technology engineers, many even born after 2000. “Vietnam possesses a series of technology personnel similar to the generation that brought success to the US and Japan,” he said. “These people will be the driving force to help promote the development of the AI industry in the coming time.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phong, representative of FPT Software, said that the company is implementing the AI Residency program, where talented people are selected from when they first graduated to be trained in the business. They are also granted research support funds and connect with AI experts around the world to achieve more new achievements in the AI field.
FPT Techday 2023 technology event takes place on October 24 and 25 in Hanoi, expected to attract 10,000 visitors, including 2,500 experts from dozens of countries around the world.
